P E R R YSVILLE, Ind. (CNS) -- William Hinton, 80, of Perrysville, died at 5 p.m. Friday (March 2, 1973) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient for 13 hours. He was born Oct. 3, 1892 in Vermillion County, to Asa and Lourinda Ramsey Hinton. He married Gertrude McLain on Feb. 22, 1916. She survives. He was a life resident of Perrysville except for a few years when he and his wife lived in Danville. He was a coal miner for 26 years at the Peabody Mines in Westville, Ill. and had also worked on a farm for several years for Armor Morgan and Carl Hicks. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Union. Survivors include a brother, Forrest of Cabazon, Calif. He was preceded in death by a son, five sisters and a brother. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Monday at the Bodine-Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, with the Rev. William Huels officiating. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  -- waw

  William Hinton, Perrysville, died March 2, 5:10 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient 13 hours.
  He was born Oct. 3, 1892, in Vermillion County, Ind., the son of Asa and Lourinda Ramsey Hinton. On Feb. 22, 1916, he married Gertrude McLain, who survives.
  Also surviving is a brother, Forrest Hinton, Cabazon, Calif. He was preceded in death by one son, his parents, five sisters and one brother.
  He was a life resident of Perrysville except for a few years when he lived in Danville, Ill. He was a coal miner for 26 years for Peabody Coal in Westville, then later farmed for Armour Morgan and Carl Hicks. He was a member of United Mine Workers.
  Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. William Huels officiating. Burial was in Lower Mound Cemetery. Friends wee received at the funeral home on Sunday. -s
